Clara Hartman’s career at Lowe’s was varied. She started as a clerical assistant and cashier for Lowe’s Executive Auction Service Inc., a business that sold everything from industrial equipment to real estate. Other positions she held through the years were in the Accounting Department at the South Bend office as an assistant to Tom McCauslin, and later working with Bob Follett in Cassopolis. She moved into a position as human resource manager at the Hail Entrepreneur Building near Cassopolis, a position she held until retirement.
