After his wife’s grandmother was ripped off by a remodeling contractor for $2,000, Keith Paul launched HandyPro Handyman Services in 1996. Based in Farmington, Michigan, the company provides professional handyman services to residential and commercial clients, protecting them from dishonest contractors. In 2000 the company established HandyPro International to expand through corporate and franchise locations, and today it has offices in Texas, Florida, Ohio, Indiana and Washington D.C.
In 2008, Keith recognized a niche market opportunity within the aging population and people living with disabilities. In response, his company increased its offerings to include stairlifts, walk-in tubs, specialized plumbing and door fixtures that enable people with arthritis to turn on a faucet or open a door.
HandyPro is certified as an Aging In Place Specialist by the National Home Builders Association, and Keith is an alumnus of Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program. Other recognitions include:
